BABY-ANIMALESDAY IS BACK!!!
The Giraffe (taxonomic name: Giraffa camelopardalis, “neck monster”) is the tallest of all land-living animals, not counting the guy who stood in front of you at that Hold Steady show. The world’s largest ruminant, giraffes are large and ruminative, making them ideal NPR correspondents. Feeding primarily on leaves, greens, salads, slaws, more leaves, and a frozen Tiramasu that you would swear was homemade, the average adult giraffe will reach a weight of 1100 kilograms (approximately 6 miles). I’ve never pet one, but I bet giraffes are really soft. Their tongues, however, are super gross.
That Tiramasu was for Shelia’s bridal shower! Oh, who am I kidding? I can’t stay mad at you, baby giraffe. Although that was super inconsiderate.
